Carmen Bridges has dark hair and blue eyes. She is a gifted athlete and competes in karate. She and Zach are highly competitive with one another and often compete at silly things like racing up a flight of stairs. Although she is tough and competitive with Zach, she likes the fact that Zach is protective of her.
Carmen is very compassionate and volunteers at the local Veterans Administration hospital. She listens to stories that the veterans tell about Viet Nam and fantasizes about her grandfather's exploits in Southeast Asia. Carmen is interested in attending West Point and has been actively pursuing an appointment.
Carmen is "Daddy's little girl." Although she is tough and a good athlete, she has Duke wrapped around her finger and uses this knowledge to get away with stuff that would get Zach in trouble.
Carmen is a practical joker. She likes to play jokes on Duke and Zach because she thinks they are too serious. Carmen's femininity comes out more when she is around Courtney. Courtney and Carmen do not compete academically or athletically, but they do compete for boys. The competition for boys sometimes causes tension between them.
After she is drugged by Danglar, Carmen is unsure of how to deal with her new powers. She does not display any symptoms of brain washing and is worried sometimes about Zach's mental state.
Both Carmen and Courtney use their beauty to their advantage in getting what they want from the men they encounter.
