Kingston de Luca has blonde hair and green eyes. He has a surfer dude attitude about him. He is intuitive and has “street smarts” but is not a great student. He is a good complement to Zach’s gung ho style.

Kingston’s grandparents emigrated to California from Northern Italy in the 1940s right after World War II. They had been an aristocratic family but had lost their assets when Mussolini came to power and then were imprisoned by the Germans. Although his family is no longer wealthy, he still has a bit of a regal bearing about him (mixed with the California dude attitude).

His parents are divorced and his Dad was not around a lot so the Bridge’s quasi-adopted him. He is like a brother to Zach and they do most things together. Their closeness allows them to fight and make up without a big production being made of it. He is sometimes uncomfortable with Zach’s aggressive style and can see that Zach might be getting into trouble. However, he goes along to support Zach and pulls Zach out of trouble on occasion when street smarts trumps analysis and the gung-ho approach.

Kingston is not sure what he wants to do with his life. He has thought about heading to Italy to try out with some of the soccer clubs. He is a free spirit and is not worried about what to do afterward is he does not make one of the teams.

He has a crush on Carmen but does not act on it because he is intimidated by her strength and because she is Zach’s sister.

After they are drugged by Danglar his outlook really changed. He is now focused on finding Danglar so that he can get back to normal.
