Zach Bridges has dark hair and blue eyes. He is in great shape from playing highly competitive soccer along with his best friend Kingston. He is very intelligent and quick witted. As the "older" twin and the boy he felt early on that it was his responsibility to help care for his sister and mother, especially since his father was away on active duty so often.

Zach has developed a real sense of independence and does not like to take orders. Although deep down he really respects his father and wants to please him, he is experiencing the natural desire to break away from his fathers’ shadow to prove that he can do things on his own.

Zach has not decided his own career path yet. Although he feels no pressure from Duke to join the military, he is aware of the family history and the generations that had attended West Point.

After their abduction and drugging by Danglar, Zach has been confused about his own powers and is concerned about the possible brain washing by Danglar. Although Zach suspects that he might have been effected by the brain washing, he won’t admit it to himself and doesn’t want to worry the others that he won’t be able to perform.

Zach’s tendency to want to do things his own way hinders their efforts to capture Danglar at times in that Zach is too impetuous, and now, with the extra strength and high pain tolerance, he feels he is bullet proof. This causes tension between Duke and Zach and it is Duke’s experience and guile that usually saves the day. On occasion though, Zach is able to suppress his natural impetuousness, analyze the situation critically and come to the rescue.
